Dyke+ ArtHaus: Open Call

The Dyke+ ArtHaus Visits the Bureau of General Services—Queer Division

The Dyke+ ArtHaus is a community-driven space for Dyke artists of all persuasions, highlighting those 40 and over. D+AH has been invited to visit the Bureau of General Services—Queer Division in New York City for the summer. BGSQD is “an independent, all-volunteer queer cultural center, bookstore, and event space”, that exhibits the work of queer artists locally, nationally, and internationally.

This exhibit aims to reflect the diversity of Dykes and the diversity of their art practices. The theme is the show itself.

CO-CURATORS: Juno Rosenhaus, Founder, Dyke+ ArtHaus, and Lola Flash, artist and activist.

ELIGIBILITY: U.S.-based Dyke/Lesbian-identified artists, 40 years of age and over; if you say you’re a Dyke, then you’re a Dyke. If you’re a trans, non-binary, bi, or gender non-conforming Dyke 40 and over; if you’re Black, Indigenous, Latine, a person of color 40 and over, and you say you’re a Dyke, then you’re a Dyke, and D+AH wants to see your work. Collaborative pieces are welcome.
