After Sappho book club
Saturday, September 20
DOORS 5:30 | DISCUSSION 6-8pm
Join us for a book discussion exploring Selby Wynn Schwartz's stunning novel "After Sappho" on Saturday, September 20th. Doors 5:30 | Discussion 6-8pm.
This lyrical work brings together the lives of real women who loved women across history - from Sappho herself to Virginia Woolf, Natalie Barney, and beyond. We'll dive into how these artists created spaces of love, art, and resistance that transcend time, and explore what their stories offer us today.
Come ready for some thoughtful discussion about sapphic history, artistic community, and the power of reimagining our past. Light refreshments will be provided, and we'll have plenty of time for both structured conversation and organic connection.
We recommend you purchase your copy of "After Sappho" at Giovanni's Room to support local queer bookstores!
Space is limited - RSVP encouraged. All queer folks welcome.
